Special AV solutions for new museum of glass

Holmegaard Vaerk is the new Nordic museum of glass, ceramics and design.

It is located in Denmark one hour from Copenhagen. This is the place where the old Holmegaard Glassworks made the iconic glass items. With respect for the original glassworks, the museum now opens its doors into a world of design, art-craftsmanship and history.

When rebuilding the former glassworks into a museum, AV-Huset was commissioned to install the complete AV solution. It was very important for the museum to preserve as much as possible of the original glassworks and the AV solutions should fit perfectly with the industrial buildings in a discreet way.

The AV solution included:

  • Transparent LED screens
  • Displays in poster format
  • Specially designed small compact loudspeakers
  • Laser projector with temperature controlled climate cabinet
  • Central sound systems
  • Complete rigging system
  • Control system that unifies all technology and devices in the exhibition on one device
