AV-Huset Donates Used AV Equipment to Slum in Africa

October 14, 2016

In November 2016 AV-Huset visited Kenya. In connection with the trip to Kenya we donated some more AV equipment to The Human Needs Project in Kibera, Nairobi.

It is used equipment that we have renovated so it works perfectly and is of great help to one of the biggest slums in Africa.

The Human Needs Project

The project began with a determination to provide clean water to the inhabitants of Kibera. As a result and after filming “Lost in Africa” in Kibera in 2010 Danish actress Connie Nielsen, probably best known for her role in Gladiator, co-founded the Human Needs Project together with David Warner, the CEO of a California, USA based construction company.

The objective is now to provide clean drinking water, sanitation and energy and, subsequently, social and financial empowerment services.

AV-Huset has previously donated other AV equipment like sound systems and microphone for The Kibera Town Center in Nairobi and we will continue to support The Human Needs Project.
