UN Global Compact – our sustainability report

December 5, 2023

We can’t save the world

but we can help make a difference. That is why we participate in the UN Global Compact initiative. We have just submitted our annual report (Communication on Progress) to the UN. In the report, we describe our work with the Ten Principles and how we contribute to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Mapping of risks

Small and medium-sized companies make up 99% of the total number of businesses in Denmark and are therefore the backbone of Danish business. While our company’s environmental and social footprints appear very small in the broad context, the overall footprint for all of us SMEs is considerable.

In the report, we focus on mapping the human and environmental risks associated with our activities. We describe what we do to minimize these risks, such as:

7 out of our 8 primary suppliers come from low-risk countries. We continuously work to reduce our energy consumption, where we will replace natural gas heating with the more environmentally friendly district heating. We also focus on waste sorting and have taken the first steps to identify our corporate CO2 emissions with Klimakompasset (a Danish web-based CO2 calculator). The work will give us a baseline for setting targets and planning improvements over the coming years.
